As part of a special seminar course on using nodal seismometers to monitor infrastructure on the UTD campus, students learned the fundamentals of seismometers, earthquake seismology, and data processing to analyze the resonance and stability of different buildings. They also had the opportunity to collect and process their own seismic data. At the end of the course, students could write up their findings for publication in the UTD magazine. |
