FDSN Network Information

FDSN code XH (2012-2013) Network name Small aperture array for observing a slow slip event on Kilauea volcano. (Kilauea Array)
Start year 2012 Operated by
  • University of Wisconsin, Madison, United States of America
End year 2013 Deployment region
Description

This array will be used to investigate whether tectonic tremor accompanies slow slip events on Kilauea volcano, HI. The small aperture array will allow us to observe coherent waveforms across the array and form beams to locate the source of the energy.
