Description

We will collaborate with Dr. Sarah Kruse (University of South Florida) using GPR to investigate two sites in Utah (one in Weber County and one in Sevier County) for human remains related to a drowning case and murder case. This project is both for humanitarian purposes and to collect data students will use for analysis as part of a module in our Geospatial Data Acquisitions course. Dr. Kruse will lead the investigation and operate the equipment with assistance from Weber State University faculty and one to two undergraduate students. The GPR instrument to be used in the investigation is: Noggin GPR System (250 MHz & 500MHz antennas, datalogger, and 4-wheeled folding SmartCart with onboard GPS (GNSS) Receiver) along with associated processing software.
