Dear FDSN Steering Committee,
At the 2023 meeting of the FDSN steering committee in Berlin, the terms of reference of the FDSN were amended to include a new position, treasurer, on the executive committee. You can review the updated terms of reference at

Responsibilities of the treasurer will include:
* Managing the FDSN bank account
* Reporting on financial status to executive and steering committee meetings
* Participating in executive committee meetings
* Preparing budgets for travel grants and workshops
* Facilitating audits
This is a new position, so it is difficult to estimate, but the time commitment should be no more than 2-3 weeks per year.
If you would like to act as treasurer for the FDSN or can recommend someone for the position (with their permission), please let me know by December 31, 2024. Nominated candidates will be voted on by the steering committee early in 2025.
